Student visa for international students
All exchange students who stay in Taiwan for over 90 days but less than 180 days must get a Visitor Visa at a Taipei Representative Office.
The documents you need to apply for a visa and other important details may change from country to country, so ensure you get the latest updates.
On the other hand, learners who will stay in Taiwan for more than 180 days must go to a Taipei Representative Office to apply for a Resident Visa. Visa holders must go to the National Immigration Agency in Taipei within 15 days of their arrival to apply for the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and Re-entry Permit. Students can stay in Taiwan if the Alien Resident Certificate is still valid.
