International students studying in Sri Lanka for more than 30 days require a Student Visa. The process involves:
- Apply for an Entry Visa before departure at the Sri Lankan Embassy or High Commission in your home country, or online via the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) portal
- Upon arrival, students must register with the Department of Immigration and Emigration within 30 days
- Student visas are typically issued for the duration of the course and can be extended at the Department of Immigration
