 Q: How do I select my courses?

Around a month before the semester starts, you can inform Asia Exchange Team regarding your courses selection. Asia Exchange will inform to WU coordinator. After you have arrive in WU, you may contact the WUIC staff at 3rd Floor, Architecture & Design Building, to obtain a course list and a final class Schedule and to confirm your study plan

 Q: When do exams take place?

Exams will be organized during the last few weeks of the semester. All courses and exams will be finished by the announced semester ending date.

 Q: What type of visa do I need to have to study in (host country)

you’ll need to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED (Education) Visa

 Q: When can I apply for my visa

You can apply your visa after get the official Acceptance Letter from the host University

Q: Is there on-campus accommodation available at (host university)

Walailak University offers on-campus dormitories.
WU Residence Accommodation fee
o MALE: Single occupancy (5,000 THB/month)
Shared room: 2 persons (Male 2,500 THB/month each Person
o FEMALE: Single occupancy (6,000 THB/month)
Shared room with a roommate: (Female 3,000 THB/month each person) – Walailak Univeristy does not guarantee a roommate will be available

Q: When do I know if I will receive a dormitory room?
Walailak University will inform students of their dormitory assignments typically around 2 months before the semester starts.
Q: When can I move into the dormitory, and how long can I stay there?
Check-in and check-out dates will be confirmed separately for each semester. Normally, you can check in 2 days before the start of the semester, and students can stay in the dorm for the duration of the semester. The dormitory payment is paid directly to Walailak University

Q: Do I need health and travel insurance?

Yes, You are required to have a valid accident and health insurance for the whole duration of the study abroad program.

 

What kind of costs should I be prepared for?

In addition to tuition fees, you should be prepared to pay for the student visa, flights, accommodation and other living costs. The cost of living is relatively low in Thailand. The real costs depend on your individual lifestyle.

Q: When will I receive my Official Acceptance Letter? 

The official letter of acceptance will be send to you approximately 2-2.5 months before the semester starts.

Q: When will I receive my Transcript of Records?

The university prepares and sends the transcripts of records usually within 2 months after the end of the semester
