Work Experience Program — Hanyang University
4-month semester + ca. 2-month internship. This exclusive 6-month program offers international students the opportunity to study at Hanyang University ERICA while gaining professional experience in Seoul or Gyeonggi Province through a structured work program.
Duration and pay
Internship compensation depends on the length of your placement.
Under 4 months
Shorter placements are typically unpaid. They are a strong option for students looking to build experience, gain international exposure, or complement an academic semester.
4 to 6 months
Longer placements are paid, with a stipend provided directly by the host organisation. These placements offer deeper professional integration and are particularly suited to students on a gap year or in postgraduate studies.

- Application requirements
Who can apply?
In order to successfully apply for internships, you should have a good level of English (B2) and a clear academic/professional interest relevant to your desired internship. All placements are subject to our partner’s matching process and individual eligibility requirements.
You must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum age of 18 years
- Currently enrolled at a university or higher education institution
- Sufficient English level, B2 recommended
- An up-to-date CV, to be submitted as part of the placement process

How the placement process works

Get in touch
Submit your interest through the contact form. Tell us about your goals, preferred destination, and availability.

Pre-placement call
We will schedule a call to confirm your goals and identify the industries and companies that are the best fit for you.

Fill the application, submit your CV and pay the deposit fee
Submit your CV and fill our application form and submit the 450 EUR deposit fee so that we can begin matching you with internship opportunities.

Matching
Our partner Global Career Center reaches out to host organisations on your behalf and finds a placement that matches your profile.

Interview prep
Our partner Global Career Center prepares you for the interview with your host organisation, with coaching on what to expect, how to present yourself, and anything specific to the industry or role.

Confirmed
Once your placement is confirmed you will be invoiced the remaining service fee of 1540 EUR. You will receive visa guidance where applicable, housing support, and a full city, industry, and internship orientation on arrival.

Internship
Throughout your placement, you will benefit from ongoing mentorship, regular check-ins, and employability skills workshops to help you get the most out of the experience.

When can you start?
We run three internship intakes per year. Apply 3 to 4 months before your preferred start date.
