APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA
Which visa do I need to attend a language school in the Philippines?
Many nationalities can visit the Philippines for leisure or business, including visiting a language school without a visa, with varying durations ranging from 59 days to less than 7 days, depending on their nationality and bilateral agreements between their country and the Philippines. Therefore, check the specific requirements and procedures for obtaining these visas or permits, as they may vary slightly depending on your individual circumstances and the current regulations in your home country and the Philippines.
We highly recommend you contact the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in your home country for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding visa applications.
Special Study Permit
If you need a visa to enter or you want to stay longer without going through the extension process, you may apply for a Special Study Permit. This permit is typically used for short-term study programs, such as language courses or short courses. You can apply for the SSP through the school or institution where you’ll be studying after your arrival in the Philippines.
Additionally, everyone traveling to the Philippines needs to provide the necessary information for the eTravel Portal here: eTravel – Philippines’ Comprehensive Electronic Travel Declaration System. Please fill out your details at least 72 hours before your arrival. Finally, you’ll receive your eTravel QR code, which you need to show to board your flight.
