The Mexican credit system is not standardized and thus, systems vary between universities.

At Anáhuac University, a course of 6 credits is equivalent to 45 hours in the classroom per semester (15 weeks). In addition, the student must do homework and, where appropriate, hours of laboratory. This equals 3 hours of classes weekly.

A course of 9 credits is equivalent to 90 hours in the classroom per semester. In addition, the student must do homework and, where appropriate, hours of laboratory.
