As the Co-Founder and President of Asia Exchange and Beyond Abroad, he has played a vital role in shaping the landscape of global education.

Sue Macchiarella

Study Abroad & Global Engagement Director at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Since starting as Director of Study Abroad & Global Engagement at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in 2011, Sue Macchiarella has increased student participation in globalization programs by over 100%. Her programs have won international awards, for example, the 2019 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization under NAFSA and the 2024 NASPA International Education Knowledge Community Best Practices in International Education Award.

Provost Emeritus - San Mateo Community College District & Past President of Associate of International Enrollment Management

Dr. Jing Luan is Provost Emeritus of International Affairs at the San Mateo County Community College District and an accomplished author and speaker. He shares insights on higher education management, data mining/big data, and international education. In 2020, he and his team received the prestigious JFK Presidential E-Award for Excellence in Export, for their  contributions to global education, job creation, and online learning. Dr. Luan has held esteemed positions such as President of the Association of International Enrollment Management (AIRC) and Founding Director of Study California.

Courtney Temple is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at the Institute of International Education. She has a rich and varied background in international education, business strategy, and change management.  Ms. Temple also provides strategic direction and oversight for IIE’s diversity, equity and access programming for staff and IIE-administered programs. She is passionate about programs and projects that improve access to education worldwide.

Steven Mulligan, CCO of North America at StudyPortals, has over 20 years of experience in higher education. He has held pivotal Enrollment Marketing roles at National Louis University, Kendall College, and Keller Graduate Schools in the Chicago, IL area. Steven is a fervent advocate for international experiences. He served as Network Leader for NAFSA’s International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community and chairs UPCEA’s International Network. Passionate about fostering personal, professional, and societal growth through international exposure, Steven aims to inspire others through StudyPortals. 

Solenn Daudu

CEO & Founder of Vanillea International

Being brought up between Reunion Island (FR) and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, Solenn Daudu was exposed to multiculturality from a very young age – which definitely forged who she is today. She is in charge of developing aivancity, School for Technology, Business and Society’s network, and collaborations in Asia and Benelux to foster institutional partnerships, student recruitment, programme development and promotion. Ms. Daudu has experience as Director of International Relations and European Projects in a French graduate school of engineering and as Smart city project manager. She is also the founder and CEO of Vanillea International, a consultancy supporting the international development of higher education.

Dr. Gonzalo R. Bruce

Assistant Provost for Global Engagement at Boise State University

Gonzalo R. Bruce serves as Assistant Provost for Global Engagement at Boise State University. As the Senior International Officer, he provides leadership in areas that support strategic internationalization, including Global Learning, International Recruitment and Admission, the Intensive English Program, International Student and Scholars Services, and the Peace Corps Prep Program. He has more than 20 years of experience in international education. In his current position, he is directly involved in developing new international programs and partnerships. He has vast experience managing externally funded projects with global partners. He received the Ph.D. degree from The Ohio State University and Master from the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Pittsburgh. Gonzalo is active in several professional associations, including NAFSA, AIEA and EAIE.

Absolutely! While the event is designed for professionals in international education, feel free to bring a colleague or friend along. Just make sure they register too so we can plan accordingly!

We’re keeping it casual and comfortable, but please remember to cover your shoulders and knees and wear closed shoes in line with campus guidelines.
